ABHI will be holding their International Business Conference on the 13th June 2011 in London.
"Global Healthcare using the UK as a Springboard"
The ABHI International Business Conference looks to explore the challenges and opportunities for industry in a global context. The conference will provide the audience insight into the key areas for consideration both near- and long-term, contemporary issues and opportunities for the sector and different strategies for international success.
The event will commence with an overview from our key note speaker on the current global landscape in this area. This will be followed by insight from Price Waterhouse Cooper into recent trends in global health economics and will highlight emerging market opportunities around the globe.
The following session will focus on key challenges concerning UK companies who look to export, Michael Gropp of Medtronic will present on issues relating to Appropriateness, Regulatory Controls and Payment and Reimbursement. This will be followed a practical look at Export Controls and Trade Sanctions from our legal sponsors Baker McKenzie.
The Afternoon session will kick off with a key note address from Chris Brinsmead, Chair of AstraZeneca Pharma UK and ABPI. This will be followed by an update from Miles Ayling of the Department of Health on the developments taking place with NHS Global.
The final session in the conference will focus on the Bribery Act and will include an overview of how this impacts upon Medical Device Companies exporting from Vivian Robinson, Serious Fraud Office followed by a practical look from Baker McKenzie at what you need to do to ensure you have adequate measure in place.
