Established in 2005, J R Biomedical Ltd is an ISO13485-certified diagnostics company based in North Wales, specialising in the development of rapid diagnostic tests. They have a history of successful collaborations with both research institutions and universities, and these commercialisation partnerships continue to be a key part of their work.
In 2025, they achieved UKCA certification for our sTLR2 RAPID test, which detects a novel Toll-like receptor biomarker which is raised in sepsis and immune disorders. This new development, along with their portfolio of related cell lines and monoclonal/polyclonal antibodies, are available for licensing and distribution for both diagnostic and therapeutic applications.
They are currently working in partnership with the NHS to bring diagnostics for the monitoring of chronic conditions closer to patients, their key aim to help reduce the need for outpatient appointments.
